2022 Callide Valley Show
Rain, rain, rain! There had been days of rain in the lead up to the 2022 Callide Valley Show but blue skies on the day before the Show filled everyone with hope. Unfortunately, the rain returned overnight and members of the Show Society found a whopping 90mls in the showgrounds’ rain gauge. With a soggy show ring and mud and puddles everywhere, safety assessments were made while everyone waited to see what would happen with the Show. Finally, the word was out that the 86th Callide Valley Show could go ahead! Although some events had to be cancelled for safety reasons due to the state of the grounds, there was much that those attending the Show could still enjoy. There were clowns, Crash-a-Rama, pavilion displays, show jumping, the animal nursery, Sideshow Alley, the Crackup Sisters, woodchopping, yummy food, fireworks and other favourite events on offer during the two days of the Show.
